Braunig Lake Storage is a member of the Texas Self Storage Association (TSSA). All customers/tenants sign a Rental Agreement provided by TSSA. All rules governing the agreement are printed on the copy provided at the time the agreement begins.

Rental Agreement specifies that all rent is due on the first of the month and paid one month in advance. There is a $25 cleaning deposit required when signing the rental agreement. The cleaning deposit is refunded providing that tenant gives written notice of intent to vacate 10 days prior to move-out and leaves the unit clean which includes hauling off all trash and sweeping the unit clean.

Move-out notice forms are available in the facility office. They are also available online in tenant’s account management area.

Unless an addendum to the Rental Agreement provides otherwise, conditions for refunding prepaid rent and deposit are as follows:

1. Tenant must give Lessor 10 days written move-out notice of intent to move-out.

2. Tenant must give Lessor written notice of actual move-out within 24 hours after move-out.

3. Tenant’s lock (if any) must be removed on or before move-out date; or if lock belongs to Lessor, the lock must be returned to the office.

4. Tenant must not leave trash in the unit space, driveways, or any outside trash receptacle on the property. All trash must be hauled off.

5. Tenant must have stayed a minimum of at least 1 month; or longer if signed lease shows a longer minimum.

6. Tenant must be current in all obligations at time of move-out.

8. Prepaid rent is refunded only if the move-out date is after the 15th of the month and onlyproviding there is not any past due amounts owed and proper cleaning occurs.

Tenant will be liable for damages and for cleaning charges and all disposal costs for Tenant’s failure to remove all contents and debris, stains of fluid/leakage, or failure to “broom sweep” the unit space and any other lease violation.
